A trip to the backyard to find something that I had not shot before and I found this plant coming up in our garden. I liked the texture and the shape of the leaves so I got down close and shot a few frames with the Canon 7D, 24-70 f2.8 @ f7.1 and 65mm, 1/100 sec at 100 ISO.I then brought it in to photoshop where I desaturated the image and changed some tones to get a nice B&W image. Was nice to experiment with B&W again using digital.
