My wife had a gathering of people from the local Malayalam Community over tonight so I spent all day cleaning and organizing the house. This evening as they were all leaving I looked up at the light fixture that we have in our front entrance and noticed this wonderful play of light and shadow. So once the last of them had left I pulled out the trusty Canon 7D and the 24-70 f2.8 and snapped a few images. I liked the abstract qualities of this one as I choose to leave a large portion of the fixture in the frame. 400ISO, 1/50th sec, f 4.5 and white balance on Auto. I liked the monochromatic/sepia look that the camera gave as shot and choose to leave it this way.
